A DEEP LOSS...
James E. Strait, Sr., age 64, of Canton, passed away
unexpectedly Wednesday, July 2, 2008, in Aultman Hospital. He was born January 28, 1944, in Robertsville, Ohio, to the late
Rev. Harry L. and Hazel (Pritchard) Strait. James was a lifelong resident of the Robertsville and Canton area. He was a member
of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and served as Chairman of the Bluegrass Gospel Sing. James loved the Lord and had many brothers
and sisters in Christ. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Nancy (Fisher) Strait; one son, James Strait, Jr.; two
daughters, Kelli (Bill) Raabe, Jennifer (J.T.) Wilder; five grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry (Carol) Strait, Jack (Linda)
Strait; two sisters, Margaret Strait, Kathryn (Don) Clapper; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday,
July 7, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Canton with Rev. Stan Kashuba officiating. Interment in Robertsville
Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday, July 6, 2008 from 3-6p.m. in Kreighbaum- Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave., and
one hour before services on Monday (10-11 a.m.) at the church. Condolences or fond memories may be shared online at:

The 24th Annual Bluegrass & Southern
Gospel Convention
The Convention will be Held at the Ronald Howard Gospel Music Center, located at 2616 Prairie College
St. SW. Canton, Ohio 44706
Here we are another year...PRAISE THE LORD! we will be updating the site soon. The annual singing this year will be August
18-23rd Monday thu Friday 6pm-10pm Saturday: 8am-11am Country Breakfast 11am thu 1pm Open Mic all Gospel Bluegrass and Southern
Gospel Singers welcome (sign up 10am-10:45) Singing will from 1pm till done This year we are blessed to have these groups
and singers appearing: The Marksmen, Gospelaires, The Representatives, Crosspoint String Band, New Hope, Pleasant Hill Baptist
Church Choir, Debbie Domer, Bluegrass Roundup, Gloryway Quartet, Beyond Calvery, Journeymen, Conners, The Kings, Loren Glick
Family, Shiveley Family, Roy Greathouse Gospel Bluegrass Band, Pine Ridge Boys, Revival Ridge, Christ Unlimited and many more
to come!!! make plans to come and join us!! We will be looking for you.
